Thanks to a water leak, the wallpaper is ruined. Think that’s mold and/or mildew?
Not looking good here either.
It looks like they put peel-and-stick vinyl floor tiles on top of hardwood flooring.
What is that yellow thing? It has mirror tiles on it.
Someone had fun with a leaky ink pen.

That wallpaper was ruined BEFORE the water leak.

Some mid century homes had peel and stick vinyl over hardwood and carpet glued over the tile. One subdivision here had back splits with above ground family rooms. They had that type of flooring.
