This room could be edited.

Sigh.

If those photos have been there a long time, it’s not likely there is any fresh paint to match after patching the holes.  So now the buyer has to repaint the entire wall.

That really is too bad. I loved the white cabinets in the first photo and the rest of the photos looked like a lovely home, just needed to take it down a few levels -plus that gets them started on packing anyways!

It is still home for these sellers and they are comfortable with their photos. With the exception of #1 & #2, these appear to be clean well maintained homes. #1 is just a picture of a multi-use bookshelf that I hope goes with the sellers. #2 - I would be more concerned about having to replace the carpets than the condition of the hall walls.

I’ll never understand why sellers and their realtors don’t do the best they can to show a house to the best they can. It is all about money here.

We’ve bought several houses over the years. And, in a competitive market - we have ruled out looking at some houses JUST because many the walls were full of pictures in the photos.

Too much extra work for the buyers to deal with. (Maybe sounds petty to some - but, it’s the truth.)

Sellers should patch and repaint before they put their otherwise nice home on the market.

The third house sure has a thing for red flowers and the color red in general.

I admit that I have some personal pictures on our walls. Nothing like what is pictured here. It was planned out. I don’t just add a picture willy-nilly. Most of these houses remind me of grandparents homes.

I like house 5. I could ignore the pictures because it’s so clean and bright in there.
