Our reader Sarah sent these photos, thank you. Let’s look at some attics. Here’s a fixer-upper attic in Laurel, Delaware.

They say new paint and flooring will freshen up a house. The attic above could use paint and flooring, but perhaps not sloppy paint or bright paint like this Harrington, Delaware attic.

This Dewey Beach, Delaware home features a 6-person attic bedroom. No holes in the ceiling or bright orange paint, but no visible heating or cooling.

Delaware represent! I spent many of my formative years in an attic room very very similar to these, in my family’s home in Southern DE. I had a window unit AC and a kerosene heater. Neither was adequate.

The Dewey Beach 6 bed attic room is beachfront property. The house would most likely be used as a weekly rental for a large group of 20 somethings or multi families with children rather than someone’s permanent residence. Rental rates can be $500 per night during summer season for ocean front homes. Current listing price $969,500.

I love attics! My house has three attics, but they are too small or odd-shaped to do much with.

Body heat will suffice for the 6 sleeper.
