A Journey Into Decay & Neglect

November 7th, 2017 · 2 Comments

This poor old house was neglected for decades. Check out the ceiling. And the dirt on the ceiling fan!

Decades of grease!!

Decades of cigarette smoke?

Two bottles of bleach is not enough.

It’s picture perfect.

The swan turned back into an ugly duckling.

Shelving included with the sale.

Vintage drapery.

Outdoor kitchens with BBQs are very popular.

The swimming pool’s condition took a dive.

Plenty of parking on the front yard.

The headrests have been eaten away by the hot sun.

Reminds me of our house when we first looked at it. Fixer upper was an understatement. The oven was so greasy that when I went to open the door to look inside (WHY WHY WHY did I do that?) my hand stuck on the grease all over the handle. 14 years later you wouldn’t recognize the place. This house can be beautiful once again, too. It might take severe demolition, but it can happen.

This COULD be a Phoenix house risen from the ashes with a lot of TLC!!!
