Final Fantasy 16 impressions have been dropping all day, revealing tidbits about the game, but one of the most exciting pieces of news is that FFXVI will be getting a demo around two weeks before release.
Final Fantasy 16 demo progress will carry over
In an interview with Famitsu, Yoshi-P stated that the Final Fantasy XVI demo will be released around two weeks before the game releases, and that save data will carry over to the main game if possible. This will also mark the third Final Fantasy game in a row to get a demo, with Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy VII Remake also getting demos a few weeks prior to release for fans to see what they think.
This will come as excellent news to people who have been waiting for Final Fantasy XVI since 2016, and who have been feasting their eyes upon every single piece of gameplay that has been released for the title. The game is currently scheduled to release on 22 June 2024 after several delays.
The news comes amid a bunch of previews for the game being released, including the revelation that it will feature an arcade mode and leaderboard.
In other Final Fantasy XVI news, the game will reportedly not come to PC for a while yet.
