The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice may be a full-priced remaster of the original game, which will be arriving in just a week on PS5, but you might be given a massive discount. If you already own The Outer Worlds and both DLCs, Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos, for PS4, then the Spacer’s Choice Edition will only cost you $9.99 for the upgrade. That’s quite a deal.

To know whether you have access to the upgrade, it seems as though the PlayStation Store will automatically detect whether you own The Outer Worlds base game on PS4 and the two DLCs. You will likely need to wait until the Spacer’s Choice PS5 release date of March 7 to see whether the upgrade is available to you, since the game doesn’t have any purchase options on the PS Store at the time of this writing.
While the price of the Spacer’s Choice Edition is not available on the PS Store yet, you can get a head start on the discount by purchasing The Outer Worlds on PS4 now (currently, at a 45% discount on Amazon).
In addition to graphical enhancements in this remaster, by updating the visuals to 4K 60 FPS, Obsidian Entertainment has made the companion AIs smarter and nearly tripling the level cap from 36 to 99. This will allow players to create crazy builds across the seven branches of the skill tree.
