Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has revealed he was “blown away” by the PSVR 2 headset when he was able to try it out recently. He then went on to say that while the original PSVR headset was “arguably the biggest success of the generation“, he expected the PSVR 2 headset to perform even better than its predecessor.
PSVR 2 will “do even better” than PSVR
I was blown away when I used PSVR 2 recently! The first PSVR was arguably the biggest success of the generation, this version will do even better.

Luckey made the statement in a reply to Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida, explaining how he’d had a chance to try out the headset for himself and that he was “blown away when I used PSVR 2 recently“. He views PSVR as “arguably the biggest success of the generation” and claims that PSVR 2 “will do even better”.
PSVR was the headset that brought virtual reality to a console audience. This meant there was no need to worry about premium PC parts to handle the workload presented by a VR headset, and the cost was extremely competitive. While players have complained about the cost of the PSVR 2 headset, which is more expensive than a PS5 console, Sony has high expectations for PSVR 2 and has prepared an extensive launch lineup of more than 30 games to give the headset the best of starts possible.
