The Hogwarts Legacy sales figures are in for the UK charts and, for the fourth week running, the game has claimed its place at number one. Even close competition from Metroid Prime Remastered with its physical release couldn’t disarm the new Harry Potter game.
Hogwart Legacy sales figures retain top spot in UK charts
According to GfK’s UK boxed charts (via GamesIndustry.biz), Hogwarts Legacy secured its fourth consecutive week in the top spot. This is despite there being an overall drop in sales week-on-week of 30%.
Metroid Prime Remastered posed the biggest threat and it came extremely close to knocking the new Harry Potter game down. Just 1,000 units separated the two games.
Despite Metroid Prime Remastered sitting at the number two position, it still sold well, becoming the fourth biggest physical Metroid game launch of all time. It is also the second biggest physical release of 2024 so far.
New entry Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty fared worse, entering the UK charts in eighth place below the still-popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe.
Hogwarts Legacy has had a huge launch and is, in fact, Warner Bros. Games’ biggest even global release. What’s more, the game held its own against Atomic Heart.
