Before & After Home Staging
Before Living Room. This Sun City, Arizona home sold as a short sale for $74,000 with furniture and clutter.
After Living Room. Once cleared out and freshened up with modest updating, the house sold for $120,000.
Before Kitchen. Nice cabinets but the clutter was a turn-off.
After Kitchen. Big difference and low cost to do so.
Before Kitchen.
After Kitchen. Aside from a new pantry door, window blinds, and a few other items, what did the new owner do? And by simply tidying up the house, could the original owner have sold it for $46,000 more? The new owner reaped all the rewards.

Short & Not Sweet
Short sale in Gilbert, Arizona. Notice how the carpet was originally pink in color (where the bed used to be). And notice the carpet torn up. And the window “drapes.”
Dirty walls, cluttered bedroom, camouflage curtain.
Blankets used as curtains in the kitchen.
Another cluttered bedroom. One dirty pillow.
Something is blocking the window. Box of Trix cereal in this bedroom. Frosted Flakes in another.
Video games!
Where’s the fireplace?

Fixer-Upper
This home needs a lot of help. There are a lot of details to iron out.
Notice how the refrigerator is missing in the photo above and is now seen on the far right side in the photo below.
Ugly, dirty cabinets. Dirty ceiling. Dirty kitchen.
As we pan right, we see two cans of Raid bug spray and a knotted curtain. Ugh.
In the next room, past the knotted curtain, we have to wonder how those books are still standing.
At least they are patriotic.
There’s that knotted curtain! It makes a statement.
The bathroom is less cluttered than expected.
The curtain rod fell down before the closet shelf did. Just barely.
Dirty air conditioner vent. Dusty & cluttered bedroom.
The living room’s a real treat too.
The front of the house.
The back yard.

Just like these lovely entertainment centers, we hope this blog entertained you this past year. Perhaps you shed a tear or two from dismay, disgust, or laughter.
Santa Might Skip This Home
Imagine Santa Claus’ reaction when he exits the fireplace.
I hope Santa doesn’t need to use the bathroom.
Building permits for that room addition?
