The latest God of War game will be launching at the start of next month. Bearing this in mind, the God of War Ragnarok launch trailer has been released and shows several scenes from the game as Kratos and Atreus take on Odin and other foes from Norse mythology. The trailer doesn’t give much away, though, and we still don’t know what Odin looks like.
Kratos takes on several foes in the God of War Ragnarok launch trailer
Plenty of other characters make an appearance in the Ragnarok launch trailer, including Freya as she seeks revenge against Kratos for the death of Baldur, the aforementioned Odin who’s still shrouded in shadows, Thor, and Tyr. There’s also a rather large wolf and plenty of fearsome enemies the pair will encounter. The variation in enemies is meant to test the duo’s combat abilities to the limit as different techniques will be needed for the different enemies.
When God of War Ragnarok launches on November 9, the game will come with 120 FPS and 40 FPS modes to make sure those encounters really shine. You’ll need to start preloading before launch date, though, as the PS4 version clocks in at just under 120 GB and the PS5 version is reported to be over 80 GB.
