Too Much
So much furniture and stuff in one room. It distracts you from the old ceiling fan and the popcorn ceiling. Is it a dining room or a living room or both?
Still looks cramped from this angle. The sofa blocks the window. The front door is blocked too.
There was a dining table in the living room. Now there’s two more dining tables in this room plus a breakfast bar. Is this a restaurant or a house?
From another angle, we see that they couldn’t leave an empty space alone. Gotta put an oversized table there!
So much furniture crammed in this room that they had to stack the sofas!
Timeless Perfection Or?
Should the fireplace screen, the brick surround, the cabinets, the mirror, and the ceiling fan be updated or left alone before selling?
Oh, My In Omaha
Thank you, C.H., for sending us these photos of an Omaha, Nebraska home. It needs a little help. Maybe a new roof, a new ceiling, and a new wall?
A little cleaning in the bathroom would be nice.
Good golly, Miss Molly. What happened in the garage?
Milk crate bookshelf. Did you have that in your dorm room or apartment as a young adult? Cinder blocks were used a lot in Arizona.
Too Cluttered For Buyers
These five family rooms need help with home staging. They’re too visually distracting for buyers.
The sellers are hoping the toys will distract you from seeing the bent ceiling fan blade.
Does everything need to be on display? Stop clowning around.
At least the TV is turned off.
They hid their bicycle behind the couch. Do you like the chair in the corner?
Having the Time of Her Life
Clocks, clocks, and more clocks. That’s quite the collection.
More clocks in the next room. Agents are encouraged not to take their buyers to see the house at the top of the hour.
More clocks. Thank goodness Arizona doesn’t participate in daylight savings time.
Only one clock in this room?
Hung With Care
Window drapes add personality to a house. Here are some ideas for your home.
Scallops.
Tassels. With the ceiling fan turned on high, she can get the tassels to twirl in opposite directions.
Limp Noodles.
Beef Jerky.
Vintage. From a 1971 Mesa, Arizona home.
Bright & Beautiful. [Lake City, Florida]
Attic Access
Five homes with holes in the ceilings. Because?
The ceiling’s so low, perhaps the seller cracked the drywall open with his head.
Or maybe the seller wants to show the insulation to buyers?
This home has no insulation.
There’s no hole, but…
This Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ceiling needs some attention.
Look What You Got!
The box reads, “Look what you got!” We’re definitely seeing what these sellers “got.” And it’s a lot of stuff. Is that a Cabbage Patch doll?
The dining room features dog food bags, old carpet, and dusty ceiling fan blades.
Another bedroom.
The bathroom floor is uplifting.
Gently used over the decades.
Another cluttered bedroom. The bag reads, “Last Chance,” as in last chance to impress buyers.
It’s not a bedroom closet. It’s the bathroom shower with clothes on hangers on hangers.
(sigh)
???
The kitchen. The pot boiled dry.
Original casement windows showing a cluttered patio.
The view from the other side.
Down & Dirty
Once the sellers install the new Milgard windows, they’ll call their home remodeled and raise the list price!
Looks like they’re getting ready to install a skylight!
They plan to convert the living room into an expanded bathroom with staircase to the 2nd floor. It’s a work in progress. Please ignore the dust.
Original Carpeting
Looks as new as the day it was installed.
