The DualSense Edge is Sony’s upcoming Pro PS5 controller and they’ve finally announced a release date and price alongside a brand-new features trailer. The trailer understandably focuses on the customizable parts of the white and black controller as well as all of the features it has to enhance the player’s experience, but the more interesting details fall into the video’s caption.
When is the DualSense Edge release date and how much will it cost?
The DualSense Edge release date is January 26, 2024, and the customizable PS5 wireless controller price is $199.99 USD/¥29,980 (including tax)/€239.99/£209.99. Players will be able to pre-order the controller through PlayStation Direct from next week.
The customizable options include three types of stick caps, swappable back buttons, replaceable individual stick modules, and the opportunity to customize controller mapping through three different profiles. Stick sensitivity and dead zones can also be adjusted. The controller also comes with the usual Dualsense features including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, a built-in microphone, motion controls, and more.
While the controller comes with its own USB Type-C braided charge cable with lock-in connector housing in the box, which will allow the controller to be charged while it’s in its carrying case, the Dualsense Edge is also compatible with the existing DualSense charging station.
