The PS5 wishlist system apparently works with the revamped PS Plus by notifying players when games in their wishlists are added to the service. As reported by folks over at PushSquare, if a game in your wishlist is added to the Extra and Premium tiers, which will be refreshed, you’ll be pinged by your PS5. This nifty little change is welcome considering the sheer size of the PS Plus Extra/Premium catalog.
PS5 wishlist system continues to improve
The PS5 wishlist system has certainly come a long way since launch. In November, Sony rolled out an update that enabled push notifications for wishlist updates on the PS App and PS5. Players also get notified when games in their wishlists go on sale.

That said, there’s no way to know if a game is going to be added to Extra and Premium tiers in the future so if you purchase something from your wishlist only for it to arrive on PS Plus shortly afterwards, that’s tough luck!
At present, it’s unclear if PS5 will notify players when games are about to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers or not. PS Plus users in Asia recently spotted an update on Red Dead Redemption 2’s store page, which states that the game will leave the service on September 20th. Considering we’re still in June, it’s too early to send out a notification for that but we’ll see what happens closer to the time.
In other news, Microsoft seemingly embargoed multiplatform news following its Xbox Bethesda showcase, and here’s the full list of games included in PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in North America.
