Netflix announced Dragon Age: Absolution during the Netflix Geeked Week, an animated series based on BioWare’s beloved franchise. The series is being created in collaboration with BioWare but will tell a standalone story involving “elves, mages, knights, Qunari, Red Templars, demons and other special surprises.” It’ll feature “an ensemble of new characters inspired by Dragon Age lore.”

Tevinter is also the setting of the next Dragon Age game, subtitled Dreadwolf, as recently announced.
Netflix seems to be going all in on video games, announcing numerous collaborations during Netflix Geeked Week. In addition to this, the streaming giant also announced Castlevania: Nocturne, a spin-off of its own Castlevania animated series.

In other news, Microsoft has reiterated that existing multiplatform games that it acquires will remain multiplatform, and The Last of Us multiplayer is reportedly all about live service.
