In case you didn’t hear the news, Sony is discontinuing the PS5‘s Accolades feature this fall. This feature, which I’ll admit not knowing about until days ago, was apparently underutilized and so it is receiving the chop. However, before Sony pulls the plug, it might be interesting to take a look at the Accolades that you’ve been awarded by other players. If you want to take a gander, this little guide is for you. Here’s how to check your PS5 Accolades before they are gone forever.
How to see my PS5 Accolades
To check their PS5 Accolades, users must:
- Go to the Ps5 Home Screen.
- Select the user profile icon in the top right.
- Choose “Profile.”
- Now select “Accolades.”
- Here you can view all of the Accolades that players rewarded you with.
If, like me, you have absolutely zero Accolades, don’t feel too bad. Though it would be nice to have received recognition for being a good team player in multiplayer games, it’s clear that many users weren’t even aware that this feature existed, hence why it’s soon getting removed.
On the other hand, for those who have garnered a huge number of Accolades as recognition for being a fantastic companion during online endeavors, then the removal of the feature may come as a devastating shock.
For those few who did manage to collect a bunch of Accolades for being Helpful, a Good Sport, a Leader, and/or Welcoming, you can at the very least take pleasure in the fact that players devoted the time to dive into the menus and assign you an Accolade. Bravo to you!
